In honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, and Robyn’s not quite Diamond birthday, we present Diamond Ring. A quick crochet project using 3 colors of Diamante from the S. Charles Collezione – just 15 scblo stitches and a K hook. Crochet, alternating colors at the end of each row, until the piece reaches around your head. Twist, and join.
The pin is a piece of vintage costume jewelry from the House of Schrager. No, I haven’t been able to find a direct familial link with the jewelers; in fact, I don’t know much about them at all. They were located on 5th Avenue in Manhattan from 1925 until about 1962, most of the pieces are signed, and I think it’s cool to own jewelry with my name!!
