Walking into Kirkwood Knittery, you are met by an explosion of color and texture. We carry a wide variety of fibers, silks from ArtYarns and Lorna's Laces, wools from all around the world, organic cottons from Tahki Stacy Charles, as well as linens and rare fibers from Habu Textiles.
We have our yarns conveniently organized to ease your shopping. One section of the store features all of our washable wools, cottons, and acrylics. Perfect yarns for the baby knits and afghans, both in durability and cost. All of our washable yarns are of a high quality, yet remain cost effective.
In another section, you will find a wide variety of unusual yarns and fibers, perfect for that decorative scarf or stole. We have a large selection of fingering and lace weight fibers for socks and shawls, super-bulky alpacas for throws and pillows, and everything in between. Interspersed among the yarns you will find patterns and booklets to inspire you. We also have a computer bay available for you to browse Ravelry to find the perfect project.
At Kirkwood Knittery, teaching is our passion. We love to introduce new knitters to the craft. We also believe that your success is our success. We are happy to help you with any problem you may encounter, or teach a new skill if you need it. We are fortunate to have a team of skilled knitters and teachers at your call.
